I had such hopes for this film, in the end i was utterly disappointed. The film started off promisingly a former victim of a serial killer returns home where she left after surviving and getting her life together away. As soon as she comes back however the killings start all over again. Is it her former tormentor who is thought to be dead. Is it a copycat killer? is it her? Now if they would have played with all these theories maybe the film would have been entertaining at least. the film instead comes off as dozens of other straight to home video horror films do where you will figure out the killer within minutes. they don't even bother having false leads.
The first of many problems with the film is when the surviving victim has flashbacks at times we see the actress Angela Bettis as a teenager but only in the torture scenes but when the film shows how she and her friend become victims it is a different actress confusing us in the audience as to why. The flashbacks and especially the serialkiller are more like spoofs of horror film scenes then the scary and/or thrilling ones they are supposed to convey.
The film was supposed to be in 3-D which would explain why the film is so bad.to me usually when a film advertises itself in 3-d that is the only thing it has going for it. Like the gimmick will save all the other problems.
After awhile you just want the film to end. There was only one interesting scen in the film and it was actually more funny and intended to bethen anything else. A teenage girl wants to lose her virginity but her boyfriend is religious so he refuses and wants to swim in the lake with her and when she tries to entice him by taking her underwear off he orders her to get dressed like he is disgusted. That's about it for the film and originality. it is nice to see Comedian Christopher Titus get work i only wish it was in a better film.
