It seems with Frank Henenlotter films that they are going to be worse then they actually are. They seem like it’s going to be wall to wall gore and sex when actually though there is a helping of each it’s not as excessive as you think.
The films have a crazy logic that lends itself more to midnight movies as they are so crazy you can’t take them seriously.
This film seemed like it could have been up to the level of his past films but in the end I was left disappointed it seemed like a lot of the film was there to shock though not too much happens and by the time the end comes around it seems like the previous running time was more devoted to a punchline which means all of what we have just watched was not only a joke but a set-up.
I really wanted to like this film as I have liked BASKET CASE and FRANKENHOOKER offbeat yet fun films. Henenlotter seems to have a fascination with the downtrodden side of life as in his films they are filmed more with seedy types such as crackheads, hookers, criminals. Where death and murder are cheap.
This one is about a woman with Seven clitorises who has babies after each sexual encounter in a matter of minutes and sometimes ends up killing the guys after sex who works as a photographer and lines up one night stands quite often who meets a guy who has a humongous penis that controls him that he tries to control with drugs but at times wins the war. We see what happens when they come together.
As you can see this film has a great set-up but how it ends up I can’t say boring but uninteresting after awhile (the film is less then 90 minutes) is a mystery yet it manages to do so..
