HALFTIME REPORT (BOOKS OF THE YEAR) 2017
This is my reading list so far from this year. I decided to list the books from best. As so far some might have been a bit disappointing but none would I ever call bad. This list includes graphic novels also. This is more a halftime report of the top books I have read so far this year.
In Total 21
1. HARD LOVE - Ellen Wittlinger
2. LOVE AND LIES: MARISOL'S STORY - Ellen Wittlinger
(Though two separate books best read as a single one.)
3. THE HATE U GIVE - Angie Thomas
4. THE VIEW FROM THE CHEAP SEATS - Neil Gaiman
(My creative bible of sorts for the time being)
5. I'M JUDGING YOU: THE DO BETTER MANUAL - Luuvie Ajavi
6. WE GON' BE ALRIGHT - Jeff Chang
7. LETTERMAN: THE LAST GIANT OF LATE NIGHT - Jason Zinoman
(The book made me admire him more as it presented him more as human. And exposed his weaknesses and problems. That strangely made him more appealing to me)
8. THE LOVER'S DICTIONARY - David Leviathan.
(Just a beautiful written book that works as a puzzle and lets you put it all together)
9. AMERICAN HEIRESS: THE WILD SAGA OF THE KIDNAPPING CRIMES AND TRIAL OF PATTY HEARST - Jeffrey Toobin
10. PEEPLAND - Christa Faust
(The combination of the whole series into one volume)
11. THE GIRLS - Emma Cline
