The story is that 2 women both of whom are engaged and best friends since childhood. Both want to get married at the same place and the place is only available for one day. They both have had this wedding fantasy so they battle over their weddings and try to sabotage the others plans every step of the way.

I believe i never laughed once. i might have chuckled once.

This is a movie that is supposed to be funny and was supposed to be what BRIDESMAIDS actually was a female comedy that works. Here i feel the filmmakers went with a film that would only appeal to females and played within the mainstream rules of what was expected instead of trying for something different.

The film has plenty of good set-ups but no punchlines. The punchlines that there are aren't funny at all to any audience. so if anything the joke has been played on the audience. There is no sense of logic that keeps the film going it takes something that at first is silly then makes it even more idiotic.

I like the cast but watching the film makes me feel sorry as they try to get juice from a stone. It ends Anne hathaway's winning streak of films. It matches the desperation she had hosting the oscars but at least there she looked like she was having fun. You know her dream wedding can't commence halfway through the film as her fiance is such a jerk and she has better chemistry with any other male then him. Which when there is temptaion in a 3rd act loveinterest it seems like the film included that as a last minute addition.

The Film adds another atrotious film to Kate Hudson's resume. She started her career with a lot of promise that seemed to go down in quality as she got more experience. She is likeable but deserves better then the material she chooses. what's scary is to think that this might be the best of the scripts that she is sent.

It doesn't help the film that Hathaway and Hudson's characters are supposed to be childhood friends and both look nowhere near each other's age. I know it's a film for women and supposed to be cinematic fluff, but just becasue it is fluff doesn't mean there shouldn't be an attmept to entertain and try something different. even if it is one thing. The film doesn't make either of the two stars attractive or even flattering looking. In Fact it leaves Hudson looking older. The characters general attitudes don't even make them appealing. It makes none of the audience feel any sympathy for them so it makes us wonder why should we care about anything that happens.
