The orphan and former surfer Chris Emerson and his sister Nicole Emerson move to Luna Bay expecting to initiate a new life without housing expenses with their Aunt Jillian, but she charges rent to the siblings for a wrecked house, and Chris seeks a job working as board shaper to raise money for the unforeseeable expenses. While in town, he meets his acquaintance and also former surfer Shane Powers that invites Chris for a surf parting at night. Then the siblings unsuccessfully seek out the board-shaper and vampire hunter Edgar Frog in his trailer trying to find a job and Chris leaves a message for him. They go to Shane's party and Nicole stays with Shane and drinks booze offered by him. Later she becomes a half-vampire and Edgar advises that she drank vampire's blood and can only be saved if the head-vampire is killed. Chris and Edgar search the hiding place of Shane and his tribe to save Nicole.

Why bother? I was happy with the way the original film ended. Of course maybe It leaves you with a few questions, but leaves you satisfied.

This film does almost everything it can to desecrate he find memories of the of the first film. While it's a joy to see Corey Feldman on screen again. Continuing In the series role of Edgar frog. He makes the filmmakers feel justified by calling this film a sequel as the fact that it is set In the same California town. Those two qualities as well as vampires and deer antlers being the only things that links it to the first film.

With this movie Everytime you think it can't get any worse it does. This is the worst film I have seen that was released that year. The acting was abysmal especially by the surfing vampire gang. The leader are by Angus Sutherland. Kiefer's brother in real life was worse then soap opera actors a he seems to think that this is a sequel to INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE. Why, oh why did a member if the vampire gang have to be West Indian. With his accent it only adds to the annoyance of the character. This film was intended to be a remake of the original set in modern day with Corey Feldman just making a cameo as a homage to the original.

Corey Feldman was originally reluctant to re-appear as Edgar Frog but changed his mind when he was offered a larger part in the story.

Why if this is a vampire gang is so tough and so bad are they eliminated so easily? What was up with the first scene with the rich vampire not being able to take on the new breed Of vampires. Moles could the vampire gang be anti ore obvious as you can see there are just too many questions when it comes to this film and that's not good.

Before this film entered development, three ideas for a sequel to The Lost Boys were considered. One was a prequel focusing David ('Keifer Sutherland') and how he became a vampire, another was titled "The Lost Girls" and another titled "Lost Boys: Devil May Cry".

The film credits an actor and character who not only never appears, but isn't even really spoke of and The late Corey Haim's cameo might have shed a light on the real life relationship of Corey Haim and Corey Feldman, but it also let us know the fate if a beloved character was not positive this further destroying the legacy of the lost boys.

Corey Haim and Corey Feldman are the only cast members from the THE LOST BOYS to return. Jamison Newlander also returned but his scenes were deleted. Except for a cameo that makes no sense considering this film was followed by a slightly better sequel. Accompanied by a prequel comic book series titled "Lost Boys: Reign of Frogs". Which was better written and good enough to end on.

The only nice thing I can say is there are two beautiful actresses in this movie (Autumn Reeser and Monica Delain)that deserved better and pretty much other then Tad Hilgenbrink try to give an earnest performance. They can only work within he confines of a shitty script, but hey we all need to work.

Towards the beginning of the film, there is a shirtless guy playing the saxophone which is also an homage to the original film.

I wish I could burn this film and bury the negative of it. Luckily for the franchise the next sequel was an improvement over this film.

Skip it
