This Romeo & Juliet wannabe film tries a lot to make itself special and unique and for a independent film it’s not all bad, But the problems begin at its roots and spols th rest of the film. I don’t know if it was the filmmakers intentions or not but the female lead Emily Rios while talented and very beautiful her character is very hard to like. So why the male lead would fall in love with her and stay with her is questionable. I guess the intention was to show she is a typical vapid teenager but she is so petty and a liar and just mean spirited at times for no reason. Like when a big secret is revealed that she should know and the male lead doesn’t how does she react? She is convinced he knew and never told her so she is going to sleep with his worst enemy. Yes she is that classy. So the romance was never that believable that the lead would go through al this trouble over her.

In the whole film everyone is hunting him down thinking he murdered her but if everyone knows she’s dead they should know how she died and know the truth so the hunt for him makes no sense.

Plus out of all the weapons her brother hunts him down with a Knife/sword combo that just seems ridiculous or over the top.

The film could have been a contender of being a decent straight to home video production. It’s not horrible but to enjoy it takes a certain level of disbelief as a independent film it tries. The film does have a certain flair. In some scenes as the backgrounds becomes animated like the sketches the main character draws as do the characters.

It’s worth a look if you are just looking for something to watch to pass the time.
